Rosslyn, Va. - Interstate Resources, Inc. (IRI), acquires a North Brunswick, N.J. sheet plant from National Packaging Co. This plant has been renamed Interstate Container Brunswick, LLC (ICB). Terms were not disclosed.

Interstate Container Brunswick serves customers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, creating brown boxes to point-of-purchase displays. Doug Russell, general manager at ICB, will continue to direct the organization. Included in the acquisition is an ownership interest in PhilCorr LLC, a Vineland, N.J., corrugated sheet feeder facility.

Interstate Resources also created a strategic alliance with The Display Connection, Moonachie, N.J. The Display Connection is a manufacturer of POP displays. The alliance will enable the companies to provide permanent and semi-permanent displays.

Collectively, IRI and The Display Connection provide customers with pack-out, fulfillment, installation, and high-impact packaging. Interstate will use state of the art graphics capabilities at the Reading, Pennsylvania and Lowell, Massachusetts, facilities to coordinate the display programs.
