Newport Timber hosted a webinar conducted by Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Inc. (SFI) on 14 May 2009. Participants included William Ardle (Supervisor) and Ronnie Swindell (Warehouse Admin. Coordinator) from Interstate Paper, and Pat Reddish (Wood Procurement Manager) from Newport Timber.

The Director of Market Access and Product Labeling at SFI, Jason Metnick, provided information on the rules forusing appropriate labels and claims on products.

Future webinars will cover additional aspects of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative program.
