Learn about strong, cost-efficient, and eco-friendly Greencoat® corrugated boxes at the Interstate Container booth # 447 during PMA Fresh Summit 2013, October 19-20, 2013 in New Orleans, LA.

For growers and packers, protecting fragile fruits and vegetables during shipment is critical to providing their customers with the high-quality, damage-free produce they expect. At PMA Fresh Summit 2013, Interstate Container will exhibit, at booth # 447, strong, water-resistant Greencoat wax-free boxes that effectively pack, protect, and transport fresh produce.

During the event, farmers and packers can experience Greencoat® performance first-hand, as well as schedule
side-by-side trials  with their current packaging. Interstate Container representatives will meet with key decision makers in the fresh produce industry and discuss how Greencoat® boxes offer significant savings, stronger and safer packaging, and a reduced carbon footprint.

Greencoat® Box Performance

Following five years of focused R&D and on-going customer trials, Interstate Container developed FBA-certified Greencoat® wax-free boxes which are 10% stronger than the competition, and offer suppliers a customized packaging solution that also reduces retailer costs.

With tested performance, Greencoat® boxes withstand exposure to moisture, shifts in temperature, and rough handling while effectively safeguarding fragile products. The water-resistant corrugated box offers a durable packaging solution that is perfect for long transportation and storage. Greencoat® boxes pack fresh produce, seafood, poultry, floral and stone products.

Greencoat® Box Cost Savings

Interstate Container assigns experienced produce packaging experts to work with customers to develop customized packaging that builds strength while decreasing costs. This process helps reduce unnecessary material use and waste. Greencoat® boxes are also easier and less costly to glue than traditional cascaded and curtain coated wax boxes.

Due to recyclability, Greencoat® wax-free boxes offer retailers cost savings by cutting landfill disposal fees, typically ranging from $65-$125 / ton (tipping fees & pull).
