Interstate Container, US-based corrugated packaging manufacturer, will exhibit strong, water-resistant, and sustainable packaging at Southeast Regional Fruit & Vegetable Conference 2014.

During Southeast Regional Fruit & Vegetable Conference 2014 (SERFVC), Interstate Container will showcase Greencoat® wax-free boxes at Booth # 429 - 431 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center in Savannah, GA. The large educational conference and trade show in southeastern United States will take place from January 9 - 12, 2014.

Fresh fruit and vegetable growers and packers can meet with Interstate Container representatives at booth # 429 – 431 to learn more about Greencoat® 100% recyclable corrugated packaging, as well as view a live demonstration of the recyclable box’s strength. At the event, Interstate Container aims to stay up-to-date with and discuss the latest trends with fresh produce growers, vendors, and suppliers.

Interstate Container ships over 5 million recyclable boxes a month, with growers using Greencoat® boxes up and down the east coast to protect and preserve fresh produce, such as cabbage, cucumbers, eggplant, peaches, peppers, squash, tomatoes, and yams, in addition to seedlings.

FBA-certified Greencoat® boxes are water resistant, cost less than traditional waxed boxes, and offer the strength needed for fresh produce packing and shipping in any environmental condition. The compostable corrugated box offers sustainable solutions for companies in need of strong and moisture-resistant corrugated packaging.

Leadership Maryland, celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, honored this Salisbury resident and his statewide classmates at a black-tie reception and dinner held December 10, 2013 at the Renaissance Harbor place Hotel in Baltimore.

Leadership Maryland, an independent, educational leadership development organization, informs top level executives from the public and private sectors about the critical issues, challenges and opportunities facing the State of Maryland, and its regions.  After participating in a broad range of experiences, these statewide leaders are prepared to address these issues and serve as important participants in a unified effort to shape Maryland’s future.

“To be informed about statewide and regional issues, and having the opportunity to engage and interact with leaders who put themselves on the front line every day, has prepared these individuals to be the catalyst for positive change in Maryland,” stated Leadership Maryland Board Chairman Ralph W. Emerson, Jr.  A 2003 graduate of the program, Mr. Emerson is Senior Vice President of M&T Bank in Baltimore.

These are the leaders to watch, now, and in the future,” said Leadership Maryland President and CEO Renée M. Winsky and 2005 graduate of the program.  “Their experience confirms that the quality of leadership affects the success of the solutions.  Problems are solved when committed, dynamic and informed leaders, with vision and passion, are willing to take the risk to lead.
